New Orleans area schools and events scheduled for Army Esports Gaming Semi

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Army Esports Gaming Experience Semi Trailer will visit New Orleans area schools and community events October 3-9 from 8 am to 2 pm each day.

“Our U.S. Army trailers are a fun way for students to meet their local Soldiers,” said Capt. Matthew Gimenez, New Orleans Recruiting Company Commander. “We teach a bit about our jobs and benefits and build a strong relationship with our schools and community.”

The Esports Gaming Experience, AS10, contains gaming towers and chairs equipped with the latest games for multi-platform competitive gaming. The trailer is designed to help young people see Soldiers in a different light and understand the many different roles people can have in the Army.

“Students get the chance to ask us any questions they have about the Army, and we get the chance to discuss the opportunities, benefits, 150 different career paths and bonuses available during Army service. It is a welcoming environment for students to learn about their Army,” said Gimenez.
