OUR PHILOSOPHY

Montessori Christian Academy serves children from 6 weeks of age through Grade 3. The child who attends a Montessori school becomes a person who is self assured in their decisions; respects work, nature and friends; has wonderful grace and courtesy skills; and is academically prepared. A child who attends Montessori Christian Academy gains all of this and a strong foundation and knowledge of Jesus and scripture. All of the activities in our environment are designed to help the child become a “whole person." Maria Montessori said, “Show me the child at six, and I will show you the man he will be.” Our staff believes this philosophy to be true, and we realize the importance of these developmental stages in each child’s life.

OUR PROGRAMS

Infants (6 Weeks+):  MCA's infant class provides a safe, nurturing environment where each baby is special.  Infants are encouraged to explore and develop new skills at their own pace. Toys, music and activities provide infants with an engaging experience.

Toddlers (Walking - 2 Years):  In MCA's toddler class, significant individual attention is given to each child. Lessons are provided that allow children to move with dignity and confidence, to function independently in their environment.

Preschool (2-3 Years):   MCA's preschool class serves children in a small and intimate environment that conforms to the physical needs of the children, both in the size of the furnishings and in the opportunities for motor development. Children are guided so they develop internally and gain independence.

Primary (3-6 Years):  MCA's two primary classrooms unify the psycho-social, physical, and academic functioning of the child. Children develop into a “normalized community,” developing a love for learning, and working with high concentration and few interruptions.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Regular School Hours:  Monday – Friday  /  8:30am – 3pm

Before/After Care:  Monday – Friday  /  7:30am – 5:30pm
