WHY I AM RUNNING FOR ST. TAMMANY CLERK OF COURT?

The St. Tammany Clerk of Court’s Office is broken.

​Our current Clerk of Court has had her Notary license suspended six times. In 2017, the ex-officio commission for all of her employees was also suspended; the ex-officio commission is vital to the daily functions of this office because it provides the authority for Clerk's Office staff to certify documents, sign and attest to restraining orders, swear in witnesses, and much more.

This Office, responsible for the courts’ non-judicial operations and official record keeping, is failing us in alarming ways including:

♦ Years of mismanagement that has allowed confidential and legally protected information to be leaked to         the public, evidence to be destroyed, and an inadequate $2 million computer system to compromise the         efficient operations of the judicial system;

♦ Backed-up work logs which are severely clogging up systems, offices, and entities that daily rely on the           Clerk of Court;

♦ The revolving door of dozens upon dozens of experienced deputy clerks leaving this Office, causing more      delays in services and negatively affecting employee morale;

♦ Lack of consistency in imposing fees resulting in overcharging for services of the Clerk's Office.

VOTE FOR THE CLERK OF COURT DURING THE GUBERNATORIAL PRIMARY ELECTION ON OCTOBER 14, 2023.

On Election Day, the polls are open from 7 a.m. - 8p.m.
